We’ve now seen three weeks of the 2025 NFL regular season. As expected, It’s been a exciting three weeks. What do we know so far? I don’t know much but I’m willing to make a few obvious statements. This is what I feel we know right now.
We know the Giants had to bench Russell Wilson
The Giants had to bench Wilson even if Dart wasn’t quite ready yet. As everyone has seen by now, that red zone interception in the first half, and the poor red zone execution later on was pretty abnoxiously bad. It looks like the version we saw at the end of last year with Pittsburgh is what we should expect from now on with Wilson. I’m not going to throw any more dirt on the man here though. We all know he’s just a backup for the rest of his career.
We know that Philly, Jalen Hurts and Nick Siriani continue to show us they are the real deal Holyfield
They just do what they do. And that’s win, win, win.
We know that Tua looked cooked for a brief minute on Thursday night football
Is it me or did Tua look shook the other night in the 1st half against Buffalo? Thankfully, his offensive line got better as the game went on and so did he. I was still a little miffed and dejected at the version of Tua that I saw in that Thursday night game. That might have been the first time I seriously gave up hope on his physical ability to lead the Dolphins on any type of future playoff run. He looked a little timid back there and looked as if he was seeing ghosts! As said above though, when the line starting playing better, he started looking better. He even waddled down the field for a 1st down scramble and also eluded pressure in the pocket a few times. But early on in that game I couldn’t help but think two things; (1) I can’t believe this season is already over and, (2)Tua needs to hang it up.
I’m glad they gave me some hope. It’s time for them to win a game. Let’s go 1-0 this coming week Dolphins.
We knew that Carolina and Cleveland would turn it around at some point

Nah, it was just one game and one win by two bottom dweller teams. I’ll slow down a little here. Those were nice early season victories by both of them though.
We know that Baker Mayfield is a dog!
When a man gets ran out of town (Cleveland) after being somewhat successful and then bounces back and does it by being his authentic self, you have to admire that. And that goes for anyone, no matter what line of work he or she is in. Being continually resilient is a big key in life. Baker showed us with the Rams that he could still win games and now he’s doing it full time with Tampa. This is already season number three for him with the Bucs. Tampa continues to be a playoff contender with Mayfield at Quarterback. Baker is a DOG and a damn good football player that happens to play QB. Keep it going Baker.
We know the Chargers are coming
Harbaugh obviously went to a great spot to start back coaching in the NFL. He has a really good Quarterback that he’s coaching in Justin Herbert. And Harbaugh wins evey where he goes. He won at Stanford. Then he went to the NFL and won at San Francisco, taking them to a Super Bowl. Then, he went to Michigan and eventually won a National championship there. Once he got back in the NFL it was only a matter of time before the Chargers start being a major threat too. The San Diego, um, I mean the Los Angeles Chargers are coming for that crown in the AFC folks. Watch.
And that’s all I really think I know right now. It’s early in the season and teams go on mini winning and losing streaks. Injuries happen. Teams start playing tougher opponents. There are many ins and outs, ups and down, twists and turns for most teams during an NFL season. So things can change rather quickly. But those were a few things that stood out to me during the first 3 weeks. I hope the rest of the season is just as dope. I’m out.
