This is the stuff legends are or could be made of. We have two game 7s in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs, on the same day! One game is in the Eastern Conference, no longer the L-eastern Conference. The other game is in the Western Conference. Giannis vs Tatum in Boston is the first game. Then, later in the day we have Luka vs Booker & CP3 in Phoenix. How will this turn out? In part 2, let’s take a look at the Western Conference matchup.

Ayton plays defense on Brunson

Boy we have some superstar sh!t talkers in Devin Booker and Luka Doncic. Neither is afraid to show you what they think of your defense after they score on you. Doncic is so big and strong and agile for his size that he gets anywhere he wants to go on the court. Booker will try to bully you like he’s the next version of Kobe Bryant. Both will need to do what the stars in the first matchup of the day needed to do, as we said in Part 1, make plays for their teammates. Sure, it will come down to how the stars perform, but they both need to enable their teammates to share the load early in the game.

Air Luka

CP3 needs to get going early. So does Jalen Brunson. Can Ayton secure his biggest bag in the offseason if he doesn’t come up big here? Spencer Didwiddie is also a needed hand in this decisive 7th game. But again, I think it will come down to the 5th, 6th and 7th man determining the outcome of this game. In game 1, it was Grant Williams of Boston. I’m thinking this game is going to come down to Landry Shamet, Cam Johnson and Cam Payne on the Phoenix side. Or, Dwight Powel, Maxi Kleber or Dorian Finney-Smith on the Dallas side. For good measure lets throw in two more players, Reggie Bullock and Jae Crowder. Basically, it’s going to take a team effort with one of the role players coming up huge in this big game. Who will it be? For Part 1, click here.
