And just like that we are in week 2 of the NFL. We had three double digit 4th quarter comebacks. The Miami Dolphins, the New York Jets and the Arizona Cardinals all seemed to be well on their way to losing before flipping a switch and coming from behind against their opponents. We also saw Patrick Mahomes put on a show on Thursday night to lead KC to a win over the LA Chargers. And then we had Lamar Jackson doing Lamar Jackson things.

Lamar takes it to the house

Also, we had the QB that the 49ers couldn’t get rid of, Jimmy G. He is now back under center after a Trey Lance injury and he helped the team to a win. Let’s go around the league and talk some shop.

Dolphins @ Ravens

This game seemed destined to be a blowout at halftime with the score being 28-7. But somehow the Dolphins turned things around and the offense started clicking. And then the defense began putting together some stops. And before you knew it, plays like this were happening to tie the game.

Tua to Hill to tie the game

Miami scored 4 straight Touchdowns to complete the comeback and win the game. Meanwhile, was that just bad Baltimore defense or signs of things to come for this Dolphin offense? Miami wins it 42-38.

Cardinals @ Raiders

Josh McDaniels 2nd head coaching job is already off to a rocky start. Maybe he should just stay with Belichick? The season is still young but the Raiders can’t be giving up 20-0 halftime leads and expect anyone to take them serious, let alone compete in a wide open, competitive AFC conference. Kyler Murray has some serious wheels. Final score, AZ- 29, LV- 23.

Jets @ Browns

What type of defense gives up a wide open 66 yard TD, with a 13 pt lead, WITH UNDER 2 MINUTES TO GO! The Browns defense, that’s who. And then the Jets recovered an onside kick and scored another TD. Jets with a comeback win, 31-30.

Pats @ Steelers

My sources (my Pittsburgh homeboys) are telling me that Trubisky ain’t got it. And also, they don’t like the offensive playcalling and play design. I don’t know if they are right or wrong but that Pittsburgh team sure looks like it is a team searching for answers on offense. The Patriots escape with a 17-14 win. That’s all Im going to say about that.

Bucs @ Saints

It was a 3-3 game until this ruckus broke out.

Mike Evans delivers cheap shot to Marshon Lattimore

After this, both Evans and Lattimore were ejected. With Julio Jones and Chris Godwin both out, the Bucs had nobody for Brady to pass to now. Unfortunately for the Saints, they had Jameis Winston. He threw the ball to the other team 3 times in the 4th quarter to help Tampa secure the win, 20-10.

Commanders @ Lions

The Lions look a little better than I expected and controlled this one from start to finish, winning 36-27.

Seahawks @ 49ers

The Seahawks will struggle all season. Trey Lance had some bad luck and is now out with a fractured ankle. But aren’t the 49ers a better team with Jimmy G at Quarterback anyway? 27-7, San Fran.

The Broncos, Cowboys, Packers and Rams also won. We have two more games tonight on Monday Night Football. The Bills host the Titans in the early game and the Eagles host the Vikings in the later game. I’m picking the Bills and the Vikings on a parlay. This concludes week 2 of MMDB. Thanks for joining me.
