KD to the Suns! Why didn’t I buy tickets to a Suns game two weeks ago when I was looking? Book, CP3, KD and Ayton. Man that’s a nice 4 man group right there. Losing Bridges is tough but we all know you have to give up something to get back a player of KD’s caliber. They can definitely make a big run in the playoffs this year. But who will take the shots down the stretch. Who will have the ball? Will it be CP3 probing and running pick and roll? Will he throw it to KD and let KD work on the wing? Or will it go to Book on the wing? And besides the offense, who’s going to make the stops on the defensive end? I think all of them will sacrifice for a championship run but these are questions that have to be asked and answered.
How will this Kyrie Iving trade work? Will Luka give up the ball? I heard an interesting point today on TV. Not only is this trade to see how Kyrie fits in with Luka, this is also an experiment to see how Luka will play with another star. Will he be able to do the other things neccessary to win big in the playoffs, like rebound, defend, cut without the ball, advance the ball up the floor quicker for Kyrie to make plays for others or himself? Will he even give up the ball enough on a nightly basis so that the offense doesn’t revolve totally around him? That’s interesting because he definitely still has some growing to do on the court. People get mad at Dallas for letting Jalen Brunson go. Well they didn’t let him go, he left. He never was going to flourish in that Luka-centric offense so he went some place where he could shine more. This is what we will find out about Luka now that Kyrie is there. What else can Luka bring to the table?
I really like what the Clippers did. Eric Gordon still has plenty of offensive game and he is stout on defense. I don’t understand why it took teams two years to go and get him out of Houston. Maybe it was his contract? Well besides Gordon, Miles Plumlee is another excellent pickup for the Clips. He’s still a very mobile and springy center who will provide valuable minutes, possibly crunch time minutes for the team. And Bones Hyland gives them another jolt off the bench. I still need to see the stars play together without getting injured. However, the L.A. Clippers might finally have a roster that will take them to the NBA finals, regardless of the Phoenix Suns acquisition of Kevin Durant.
I like what the Nets got back in their trades. Sure they aren’t going to win a championship now but they will still make the playoffs. They have some promising pieces to continue to win and rebuild at the same time. These media types just love to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to talking about the stars of the league. Hey, it wasn’t working and it was time to move on. Is everyone going to stay on that bandwagon of blaming the Nets management and not give enough blame to the stars for what happened there? Anyway, it was time to break it up and I like the haul that Brooklyn recieved back.

Where will Westbrook go? I’m hearing he will be bought out in Utah. Will Miami pick him up? They definitely need a boost and have the leadership in Riles, Spo, Haslem and Butler to keep him grounded. Where else does he fit, Milwaukee? Denver? I’m now hearing that he is in conversations to join the Clippers. Hopefully he lands somewhere he can have an impact on a playoff team.
What about Pat Bev, Kevin Love, Reggie Jackson and John Wall end up?
